About Oscar Velasco, our Certified Financial Education Instructor
Oscar Velasco is a Business Development Specialist II at LBS Financial Credit Union. Oscar’s passion is to empower people with knowledge, resources, and guidance through financial education while educating about the value of credit unions. As a Certified Financial Education Instructor, Oscar works with companies to provide financial education for their employees. He is currently the Chair of PIHRA (Professionals in Human Resources Association) Long Beach where he helps lead human resources professionals in achieving their professional goals.

I was fortunate to meet Oscar at a PIHRA Long Beach Chapter Luncheon in 2016. More recently, we are partnering in PIHRA as Chair & Vice Chair. Oscar’s reliability and support as a volunteer leader has been greatly appreciated and I look forward to our collaboration into 2021. Oscar was a Charter member of the Douglas Business Park Toastmaster’s organization where he was the first member to complete a Competent Communicator manual.
