If you’re feeling depressed, you may overspend to make yourself feel better. Or maybe you’re navigating through unemployment, which can trigger feelings of anxiety and panic. Here are two tips to help you take care of your mental health and money:

Create a Budget

Review your income and regular expenses such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities and groceries. This will help you stay more organized and keep your spending on track if you feel unwell. When you create a budget and stick to it, feel proud of yourself. You made a responsible financial decision and are building healthy habits.

Get Support from Someone You Trust

Talking with someone can help yo look at things in a different way or help you find solutions. Talk to a trusted family member, friend, health or financial professional. They can provide the support such as building your confidence, keeping your accountable, or helping you organize your budget.
